This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team. This full-time role, based in Geelong, is responsible for the timely and accurate assessment of commercial Asset Finance loan applications submitted by our national accredited finance broker network. 

Working in a modern office environment, the new starter will bring their passion for customer service and their experience and knowledge of Asset Finance assessment, leveraging this across the team and working closely with other senior Credit Analysts to coach other, less-experienced team members.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Reliably ensure credit applications for commercial finance are always assessed according to internal policies with careful analysis of information received by the broker that is analysed against loan purpose, servicing capacity, and security guidelines. All assessment decisions must be supported by accurate and clearly presented file notes that justify the decision made.
• Accurately record all application/transaction details within established systems.
• Ongoing building of relationships with external Finance Brokers with a focus on continuous education of Morris’ processes and credit appetite, always delivered professionally and with a customer-service emphasis.
• Professional and constructive liaison with Sales team members, including constructive loan scenario workshopping.
• Proactive input into the continuous improvement of assessment-related policies and processes, including coaching and training less-experienced team members and as directed and support by the Credit Assessment Team Leader.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in finance broking and/or credit assessment within the Asset Finance industry.  
• An energetic person with a passion for customer service and a proven ability to learn quickly. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a must.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• High competence with systems/computer skills is important.
• Proven reputation as a strong team-player.
• A Certificate IV or Diploma in Mortgage Broking & Finance is desired.
