We are looking for an energetic, reliable and analytical person to join our Credit Assessment team within Morris. The role will suit someone with a working knowledge of financial services, whether in asset finance, mortgages, banking or finance broking.

This full-time role, based in Geelong, is responsible for the timely and accurate assessment of business-related Asset and Car Finance loan applications submitted by our national accredited finance broker network.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Ensure credit applications for commercial finance are assessed according to internal policies with careful analysis of information received by the broker that is analysed against loan purpose, servicing capacity, and security guidelines.
  • All assessment decisions must be supported by accurate and clearly presented file notes that justify the decision made.
  • Accurately record all application/transaction details within established systems.
  • Ongoing building of relationships with external Finance Brokers with a focus on continuous education of Morris’ processes and credit appetite, always delivered professionally and with a customer-service emphasis.
  • Professional and constructive liaison with Sales team members, including constructive loan scenario workshopping.

What we’re looking for:

  • Some previous experience in finance broking, credit assessment and/or general financial services.  
  • An energetic person with a passion for customer service and a proven ability to learn quickly. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • High competence with systems/computer skills is important.
  • Proven reputation as a strong team-player.
