It was announced yesterday that key forward for the Geelong Cats, Tom Hawkins has re-signed with the Cats until the end of the 2015 season.
By Hawkins signing the three-year contract that will keep him at Simonds Stadium with the Cats, it sees him joining a growing list of players to re-commit to the reigning premier side.
Hawkins told the club’s website yesterday, “I love playing for Geelong and I love playing alongside my teammates, so it was a no-brainer”.
It’s an exciting time for the 23-year-old as he joins the likes of injured forward Daniel Menzel, midfielder Mitch Duncan and Captain Joel Selwood who have also re-signed to the club in recent months.
“I do call Geelong home,” Hawkins said. “I really like Geelong as a place and it’s a fantastic community that really get behind you. The supporters have been fantastic to me ever since I’ve been here, so it’s a really great place to play footy and to live” Hawkins revealed to the Cats website.
The team at Morris Finance Ltd will be cheering on and supporting Hawkins throughout his career at the Geelong Cats.
