Victorian businesses and organisations can take advantage of the Regional Jobs Fund which will provide you with funding to develop and help to retain jobs in Regional Victoria.

Projects which help to create employment opportunities across industry sectors may need support through funding. The Regional Jobs Fund is one way this can be achieved.

Projects may include, but are not limited to:

• Food and fibre
• Advanced manufacturing
• Professional services
• New energy technology
• Medical technology, life sciences and healthcare
• Transport, defence and construction technology

Projects that will be considered include, but are not limited to:

• Investment to develop new facilities, expand existing facilities and repurposed facilities
• Introduction of new technologies, plant and equipment and systems to improve productivity, competitiveness, business growth and export potential
• Investment projects where regional Victoria is in competition with interstate or international locations
• Enhancing the skills of the workforce to raise productivity.

Eligibility

Applications will be considered from:

• Private sector businesses
• Business and industry groups including:

• Chambers of commerce and business associations
• Industry peak bodies
• Business and industry clusters and networks

Enabling infrastructure to activate projects that deliver jobs and investment may be considered from the following:

• Utility and services providers
• Water corporations
• Local Government Authorities
• Incorporated not-for-profit organisations operating businesses.

Individuals are not eligible to apply.

How to apply

The application process consists of three steps:

Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the Program Guidelines and read the DJPR Grants and Agreement for the funding

Step 2: Check you can demonstrate the project’s ability to address each of the core Regional Jobs Fund Criteria

Step 3: Contact your local RDV office to discuss your application.
