Hear from Nick Percat as the V8 Supercars head to Mount Panorama this week for the Bathurst 1000.

Hi everyone!
The Great Race, the Repco Bathurst 1000, is upon us and this year it again marks the championship finale. It’s a huge week of motorsport- the biggest racing event in Australia- and I’m pumped to be a part of it!
I’m excited for Bathurst, but honestly I’m also a little bit sad. I’m excited because well, it’s Bathurst, but sad because it’s my last event with Brad Jones Racing. The Bathurst 1000 marks the 300th championship round for BJR, so there would be no better way to celebrate this milestone than give the team a trophy. I want to finish the race on Sunday knowing I’ve given 100% to BJR and the team over the past five years.
Dale Wood is my co-driver and I’m really looking forward to sharing the car with Woody. He’s always fast around Mount Panorama and brings a tonne of experience with him. He had some seat time in the #8 R&J Batteries Commodore at the most recent Sydney event and I feel we’re both well prepped for the endurance race.
It looks like we are in for a bit of rain during the week and for qualifying, so that could really mix up the grid ahead of Sunday. Last year I made the Top Ten Shootout and I’d love to repeat that feat and start within the first five rows.
I’m aiming to have a strong weekend and at least maintain my current championship position of seventh, or hopefully improve come Sunday night.
And importantly after a month on the road, Nelson continues his journey of Australia. We are fortunate enough to be in a motorhome for the week thanks to Let’s Go Motorhomes and Nelson will again be ready to show his support!
