On Monday 11th November the team visited Groves Christian College in Brisbane with this being N2C’s ninth presentation for 2019 and their first visit to this school.
The N2C program is a unique and revolutionary Youth Safety Campaign with the clear objective of saving teenage lives arising from the tragic consequences of youth violence and road accidents which was founded in 2012 by Andy McElrea.
Groves Christian College is a co-educational, independent Christian school located in Logan, south of Brisbane. Since 1999 Groves has been working with families to make a values based, Christian education available to all who desire it. Groves Christian College has over 1100 students and several strategic partnerships to maximise student learning opportunities. These include those with training colleges, universities, employment agencies, and special needs specialist organisations.
The team presented to over 300 year 10 students. As usual there was a great response from the audience proven by the number of students who stayed on after the presentation to ask questions of Matt and Paul.
More positive feedback continued from student Jiayu Li: “It’s such a wonderful opportunity to learn the things which would take someone’s whole life to learn. I would like to say thank you very much again, you are such a fantastic group.”
The N2C team left the students of Groves Christian College with a strong and important message:
Make smart decisions and live your dreams Make dumb decisions and there is No Second Chance!
The next N2C presentation will be held at Aberfoyle Park High School in South Australia on Monday 24th February 2020.
