Morris, together with long-term partners Walkinshaw Andretti United, have teamed up with Australia’s largest food relief organisation Foodbank, to support households struggling to put food on the table throughout the holiday season.
Christmas is a time of celebration, family, friends, and gift giving. For many though, the reality will be very different this Christmas, it’s a difficult time for those who often don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
As a part of the initiative, Morris Brand Ambassador Nick Percat, WAU’s Chaz Mostert, and Team Principal Bruce Stewart joined Matt Tilley and Morris staff members in rolling up their sleeves to help pack fresh produce orders in Foodbank Victoria’s Yarraville warehouse last Thursday 24th November.
“As National Partners of Foodbank, Morris strongly believes that everyone deserves access to good food and has been supporting Foodbank in their mission to help Australians doing it tough. Therefore we will be donating 20,000 meals to Foodbank this December, adding to a total of 120,000 meals donated over the past year,” Morris General Manager – Marketing Tiffany Hunt said.
With the cost-of-living pressures on individuals and families having spiked dramatically, people are struggling to get back in front. On any given day, over half a million households in Australia are struggling to put food on the table.
Over 2 million households in Australia (21%) have experienced severe food insecurity in the last 12 months, so through Foodbank’s network of 2,950 charities in every part of the country, they are able to provide a vital service year-round to make sure people don’t go without.

“Morris’ support is invaluable on many levels, whether this be financial, which is fundamental to the work we do and helps us keep going. They support us by volunteering and coming in and putting their hands where their money is and actually making a difference in the work we do every day. That also spreads the word about what we do, giving us another audience and a greater reach to be able to share with the community.”

“Foodbank are doing extraordinary work, particularly in these challenging times when so many hardworking Australians are seeking food relief for the first time, finding themselves in situations they never anticipated.
At Morris, we are big believers in getting involved in our local community and are incredibly proud to bring together our valued partners to make a positive difference in achieving success together.”
Foodbank Australia is working hard right across the country to ensure families and individuals can put a meal on the table – not only on Christmas day – but for as long as it takes to get them back on their feet.
You too can make a difference by donating to Foodbank, every $1 you donate provides two meals for Australians in need.
