Billie Smedts will make his return from shoulder surgery in Geelong’s VFL clash with North Ballarat on Friday night.
Smedts dislocated his left shoulder during a kicking drill at training in early January, delaying his start to 2016.
“It’s been a frustrating period for him,” Cats physio Mary Young told the club’s website.
“He’s had to work through a number of levels and tasks we’ve set him with that shoulder injury.
“He’s been fantastic, the way he’s applied himself in rehab, and we’re looking forward to seeing him back.”
