In the second round of the Porsche Supercup season, New Zealander Jaxon Evans recovered to finish in the top five at the Red Bull Ring.

After finishing second to his teammate Evans at the same venue one-week earlier Dylan Pereira went one better, taking not only the win but the championship lead in the process.
Qualifying took place on Sunday morning after it was postponed due to heavy rain on Saturday afternoon.
Kiwi Evans was unable to repeat his pole-sitting performance from one week ago and started from eighth.
Determined to make amends in the race the #1 Lechner Racing driver made a superb start and found himself sixth at the end of the opening lap.
On lap 2 Evans made an aggressive move on Marvin Klein to take the fifth position at Turn 6, the two made contact but both were able to stay on the racetrack.
That was where Evans remained, unable to close the gap to Leon Kohler ahead, Evans finished a lonely fifth 7.1s behind the race winner Pereira.
Reigning Carrera Cup Australia Series winner Jordan Love started from 12th, he briefly made his way up to 11th and on the fringe of the points. However, by the end of lap 3 found himself in 13th and that is where he stayed.
Race winner Pereira started from third and made a great start moving up to second on the first lap, he then quickly caught leader Ayhancan Guven.
The pair fought hard with Guven squeezing Pereira onto the grass on lap 2, but Pereira held tough and took the lead at Turn 4 and took off into the distance.
Pereira took the win by 3.75s from Guven, Larry Ten Voorde, Kohler, Evans, and Klein who rounded out the top six.
After two races in a row in Spielberg, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is now traveling to Hungary. The third round of the season will take place at the Hungaroring near Budapest next weekend.
