Investing in Our People

The Resilience Project Workshop

At Morris, we are committed to creating a workplace that supports and strengthens the wellbeing of our people. We know that when our people are well, connected, and supported, we are stronger together.

As part of this commitment, and in line with World Mental Health Month, the team at Morris took part in the Resilience Project’s “Looking After Ourselves” workshop on Tuesday 7 October.

Why We Brought This to Our People

This workshop wasn’t just another session on the calendar, it was a meaningful opportunity for our team to step away from the day-to-day, reflect on their own wellbeing, and learn practical strategies to help build resilience.

Our decision to work with The Resilience Project comes from a shared belief in giving people the tools to thrive. By focusing on gratitude, empathy, and mindfulness, we’re helping our team develop habits that support resilience now and into the future.

What We Took Away

Led by Ryan McMurray, the sessions created space for genuine reflection. Team members were encouraged to think about their current wellbeing and self-care practices, and many left feeling motivated to embed positive habits that strengthen resilience. There was also a deeper focus on the benefits of practicing gratitude, empathy, and mindfulness, and staff walked away with practical strategies they can use to navigate future challenges with greater confidence.

The energy in the room made it clear: taking time out to reflect on wellbeing together is not just valuable, it’s essential.

To keep the momentum going, the team will also have access to an ongoing Digital Wellbeing Series from The Resilience Project short monthly videos designed to reinforce positive habits and keep wellbeing front of mind.

At Morris, we believe that supporting wellbeing is not a one-off initiative, it’s an ongoing commitment to our people. Investing in resilience helps us all thrive, both as individuals and as a team.
