On the 8th July, our team proudly returned to Foodbank Victoria’s new purpose-built warehouse in Altona for another rewarding volunteer day, rolling up our sleeves to support one of Australia’s leading food relief organisations.
Since 2018, Morris has partnered with Foodbank Australia, combining the Surplus for Purpose program with regular volunteering opportunities that empower our people to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. It’s a partnership built on shared values, community, collaboration and creating lasting impact across Australia.
This year’s volunteer day was another incredible example of what can be achieved when people come together with a common purpose. Working alongside the dedicated Foodbank team, our staff members packed an impressive 15,522 meals, which have now been distributed through Foodbank Victoria’s network of charity partners, providing essential food relief to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
The day also provided a unique opportunity for our team to experience the scale of Foodbank’s operations firsthand. From receiving and sorting donations to preparing food for distribution, every part of the warehouse plays a critical role in ensuring food reaches those who need it most.

General Manager of Marketing & Communications, Tiffany Hunt, said the volunteering day was another reminder of the difference that can be made when people come together to support their community.
“Our partnership with Foodbank Australia has been something we’re incredibly proud of. Every volunteering day is an opportunity for our team to come together, strengthen relationships and contribute to something much bigger than ourselves. Knowing that we packed more than 15,500 meals that will help support Victorian families is an achievement everyone should be proud of.”
As demand for food relief continues to grow, partnerships between businesses and organisations like Foodbank have never been more important. Morris is proud to stand alongside Foodbank in helping deliver essential food relief and remains committed to supporting initiatives that create meaningful, lasting change for communities across Australia.
