Morris Finance are thrilled to announce we have signed Geelong Football Club power forward Tom Hawkins as an official Morris Finance Sports Ambassador, the signing extends our long term affiliation alongside Tom whilst continuing our community involvement which allows us to continue to share the  message of excellence, health and fitness.

Since debuting for the Geelong Cats in 2007 the son of AFL legend Jack Hawkins has fast become a force to be reckoned with. The full-forward from Riverina NSW is as humble off the field as he is dominant on the field. At just 28 years old, Hawkins possesses two premierships, is a 2012 club best and fairest winner and the leading goal kicker for the fifth year in succession, booting 55 goals to bring his career tally to 387.

At Morris Finance we value Tom highly as he is an integral leader both on-field and off the field, a country boy at heart, Hawkins attributes his success quite simply to a love of the game and the sense of community it fosters. When he’s not kicking goals he’s out in the local community supporting and encouraging youngsters to get active and to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Whilst the 2017 AFL season hasn’t even kicked off yet Tom and wife Emma have had a busy few months with the safe arrival of their first born child, Arabella Jennifer Hawkins on the 3rd January. Tom has also under gone off-season knee surgery last October, having a piece of his meniscus trimmed after suffering a small tear to it during the 2016 season.

The key forward has made a rapid return to the field and will line-up for the Cats this Friday night in the opening pre-season competition clash against Hawthorn in their first JLT Community Series match.

We are ecstatic to bring Tom on board as an official Morris Finance Sports Ambassador and look forward to the exciting journey ahead.
