As part of our continued community engagement the team at Morris Finance are excited to announce the signing of the 2017 Australian Sprintcar Champion James McFadden as an official Morris Finance Sports Ambassador, the signing allows us to continue to share the message of excellence, health and fitness.

James signing also completes our Ambassador Program for 2018 that includes AFL Women’s Western Bulldogs Captain, Katie Brennan, Geelong AFL Star Tom Hawkins, Brad Jones Racing V8 Supercar Driver Nick Percat and McElrea Racing Porsche Carrera Cup Driver Jaxon Evans.

Since beginning his racing career via go karting, James found his passion as a kid growing up in Perth Western Australia. McFadden made the decision at an early age to leave the karting ranks behind after competing at a national level across Australia, and began his career in oval racing where he made an immediate impact in the industry during his debut season at the age of 16.

Showcasing his smooth racing skills and impressive finishes over the years, James became a well renowned racer throughout the world, in particular the USA, where amongst winning 3 All-star Circuit of Champions events, he also went on to become the first Australian to win a World of Outlaws feature event at Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania.

In McFadden’s career, the 28 year old has accumulated over 70 race wins of which include 18 World Series Sprintcar Round victories and has been both the World Series Sprintcar Champion and World Series Speedweek Champion 3 times in which he was the most recent winner in 2017 of these two titles.

James is the current lead driver for one of Australia’s largest Sprintcar teams in Milwaukee Monte Motorsports steering the #17 Sprintcar on Australian soil, being his second season with the team, James is off to an outstanding start leading on the Standings Ladder after Round 7.

With the 2017/18 Australian Sprintcar Season well underway, we see James head to Sungold Premier Speedway in Warrnambool this weekend where he will compete in the 46th running of Australia’s largest Sprint Car event, the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, an event in which he has had past success at winning in 2014 and 2016. James will also race in tonight’s Presidents Cup at Avalon Raceway, then heads off to Mt Gambier tomorrow night for the Kings Challenge at Borderline Speedway.
