MFL Sports Ambassador Nick Percat Unveils New Livery
MFL Sports Ambassador Nick Percat has taken the covers off a fresh new livery for next weekend’s Tyrepower Tasmania Super Sprint.
The #8 Commodore will run a white, red and black color scheme featuring primary sponsorship from Biante Model Cars.
This is the third livery showcased on the #8 Holden in as many race meetings, with the team yet to confirm its primary sponsor for the entry.
The car adopted a special one-off Clipsal livery at the season opening Clipsal 500 and a ‘Supporting Equality’ scheme during last weekend’s non-championship event at Albert Park.
The new livery arrives following a mammoth rebuild of the car which was withdrawn from the Australian Grand Prix after Nick suffered a frightening crash during the opening heat. A brake failure at Turn 1 triggered a high speed collision with Preston Hire Racing’s Lee Holdsworth.
The heavily damaged #8 BJR Commodore eventually came to rest against the barriers while Holdsworth was sent spinning.
Nick luckily escaped without injury although he was struggling to breath in the aftermath due to fuel fumes that had entered into the cockpit.
“I’ve had a long time association with Biante and it’s fantastic that they are taking up this opportunity to be the naming rights sponsor at Tasmania,” said Nick.
The #8 Biante car is going to look sensational on track at Symmons Plains for the Tyrepower Tasmania Super Sprint from April 7-9.
